海水浴场木栈道(Boardwalks along the beach), you can enjoy the beautiful view of the coastline.

崂山(Laoshan Mountain). It bears the name as “The No.1 Coastal Mountain”, here you can breathe the very fresh air.

 中山公园(Zhongshan Park). It’s famous for the distinctive vegetation landscape and various flowers blossom like cherry, tulip, lotus, chrysanthemum…

八大关(Ba Da Guan). It’s named after Eight Passes of ancient Great Wall of China. There are many historical villas, most are used for sanatorium nowadays.

海底世界(Qingdao Underwater World). It was first built in 1932 as Qingdao aquarium. Here you can see thousands of species and specimens from all over the world. It’s a nice place to go with your kid because it combines well the marine tourism with science education.

Yes, different schools may have different uniforms. The most common style is in white and blue. It helps to focus more on the study, less on their appearance and helps to build team spirit.

What are the special colours in your country/culture?

Red in China means good luck and happiness, the traditional wedding is usually in red. We’ll give red envelopes to people at their wedding or birthday or any celebration to send our best wishes.

There are people (esp. among the older generations) think lightening blue is used for the dead and people should avoid wearing in this color.

What are the lucky and unlucky numbers in your culture?

  • Lucky number like “9”“has the same pronunciation with the Chinese character “久”,which means “forever and eternity”.
    Also “6” has meaning of lucky. 
  • Unlucky number “14” has the same pronunciation with the Chinese character “死”,which means “death”. Many elevators in China do not use Floor 14.
